If you own a business, consider ways you can sponsor African American community development.
-
SPONSORSHIP
If your company or neighborhood group has a tradition of sponsorship, consider sponsoring textbooks, school supplies, uniforms, library books, mentoring events or after school-programs at schools in predominantly African American communities. You can also sponsor lunch-and-learn events at your local African American Chamber of Commerce.
Also consider donating co-work space in your office to a local African American non-profit, or donate to offset healthcare or childcare costs.
-
FINANCIAL LITERACY, WEALTH DEVELOPMENT, ENTREPRENEURSHIP
If you invest with Schwab, Fidelity or another investing platform, consider sponsoring a financial literacy course at schools in under-served communities.
